To ensure access

8. Inclusive education policies will be adopted to ensure access and to maintain quality and coexistence.

Under this policy, the following strategies will be:

♦ Specific to end racial, caste, gender, linguistic and disability discrimination. An educational environment will be created. ♦ Special arrangements will be made to provide access to quality education to the differently abled. ♦ Special arrangements will be made to provide access to quality education to children and adults affected by armed conflict. ♦ Special arrangements will be made to give access to quality education to child labourers. ♦ Backward communities, women and people who can speak the local language with specified minimum qualifications will be made assistants, supervisors and resource persons of non-formal education programs. ♦ The community/group will be given the right to choose which language to study and teach and the process of transfer will be adopted as per the need. ♦ Multicultural learning will be done according to the principle of linguistic coexistence. ♦ Literacy materials will be created in the mother tongue. ♦ Access to non-formal education will be widened through information technology. ♦ Organizations from backward communities will be given priority to conduct non-formal education programs.

Strategy

The following strategies will be used to implement the above policies and strategies:

♦ To give training to trainers/co-workers/teachers/supervisors and administrators on inclusive teaching methods. ♦ Discussing the common and special problems of caste and caste (Dalit, tribal, endangered species), gender, language, disabled, child labor and victims of armed conflict, preparing trainers/co-workers/teachers/supervisors and administrators. ♦ Organizations conducting non-formal education programs should sensitize trainers, assistants, teachers, supervisors and administrators about the local language and common issues and problems of the particular group. ♦ To provide materials published in the local language to the teachers of S.K. ♦ At the end of the original and supplementary textbooks, give the meaning of the words used in different languages.
